- Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has reportedly been arrested for domestic battery.
- Amber’s boyfriend Andrew Glennon claims she assaulted him while he was holding their child.
Update, July 8, 2019, 2:25 p.m.: Teen Mom’s Amber Portwood was reportedly released from jail on Saturday, July 6. A Marion County Jail spokesperson told Radar Online that a women bailed Amber out of jail on a cash bond of $ 2,000. Also, a Marion County Court clerk told the outlet that Amber’s hearing was moved from today to Wednesday, July 10 because “the state asked for a continuance.”
The outlet reports that Amber was arrested in Indianapolis on Friday morning, right before 6:00 a.m. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reportedly told TMZ that Amber’s boyfriend, Andrew Glennon, claimed she assaulted him during an argument at around 3:00 a.m. Friday, while he was holding their son. Police say Child Protective Services have been called.
Back in May, Amber told Us Weekly that she wants to have more kids with Andrew, saying “If that happened, I wouldn’t be mad. There are many things I would do differently with Andrew. I wouldn’t wait to get married. I wouldn’t wait for anything! He’s my soul mate, and he’s a beautiful person. I don’t see anybody else I could even, like, mesh with after him. I might have another kid with him.… I’ve been through a lot of stuff with men commitment-wise, but he’s that guy that you don’t want to lose out on. Honestly, I feel like it was meant to be, the way that we met. It was just beautiful.”
It’s unclear when Amber will be released from jail (she was still being held at the time of TMZ’s reporting), but she’s no stranger to the prison system. In 2012, Amber opted out of rehab and went to jail for 17 months after violating her probation.
